How to make more money in your beauty business by setting performance targets!

As a creative type, there are literally 87 other things that I'd rather do than think about my business finances.

In fact, I rarely check my bank account. I put it off until the end of the month, and then it's always a surprise to see what's in there (sometimes more, sometimes less than I thought). 🤷

And although I do set loose goals for how much money I want to make, a lot of times I feel like I measure my success by the amount of paying customers I have, without actually thinking about what's coming in dollar-wise. Let alone knowing what's going out!

I hope I don't need to tell you... please don't look at me as a model of good behaviour for how to manage your profits and revenue!  Bad Stephanie!

But, I do love to meet business owners who have a completely different (and decidedly better!) philosophy about money, numbers, and goals than I do.

That's why I was fascinated by my talk with Brigitte Benge last week. This lady has got her ish organized!

Brigitte started off our interview saying:

"You go into business to have more time and money, but you’ve never had less time and money. Why is that?"

 BOOM.

This got me riiiight in the feels, because I remember feeling this exact way 2 years ago.

I had paying customers, and I was super busy with work, which I thought was a sign that I was doing things right.

But at the end of every month, I let out an audible *sigh* when I peeked at my bank account. The balance was always way less than I was hoping for.

If you're feeling this way too, the problem might not be a lack of clients.

The real issue could be in retaining loyal clients that keep coming back.

This is exactly what Brigitte and I chatted about last week: How to make more money in your business by building a loyal clientele.

Brigitte trains beauty salon owners and their team to be "high performance" and hit their revenue targets every single day.

High-performance beauty businesses...

  •  Are usually booked out 3-4 weeks in advance

  •  Don't have to be pushy to rebook their clients, because clients are clamouring to come back

  •  Focus more on their existing clientele, and less on promoting to new clients

Having this for your own business is not a dream. Brigitte shows you exactly how to make this happen in our interview.

And I can tell you that after talking with her, I'm going to focus more on retaining my customers and setting targets in my own business.
